Navy Blue and Blush Wedding - Nicole and Frank- Western Sky Event Venue - Lasting Impressions by Design

We had the pleasure of meeting Nicole and Frank back in September of 2018 at the Bridal Extravaganza.  We knew right away how sweet this couple was and that we hoped they would allow us to join the party!   After we met, they decided to sign a contract and the day was theirs. They hired us for our Logistical Impressions package that allowed them to do all the footwork and then had us sweep in to finish things off.

Through the process, we kept up with emails regarding all the things that “should” happen.  Contracts with vendors were signed and sent over. Recommendations of vetted vendors and open communication were the key to the success of the night!

They stayed on track with our monthly emails and always let us know how the process was going and what was done, what needed to be done and how it was coming along.

At our final meeting, they took our recommendations on how to make the day run smooth and implemented the ideas.   Giant plastic tubs were filled with their personal items and we were able to keep everything together at the end of the night without worry of any items being placed somewhere difficult for them to find.

The first vendor to join us at Western Sky Event and Wedding Venue for the day’s adventure was Got It Covered.  They provided the linens and the catering for the day.  A navy blue linen was placed on the tables and a navy blue sequened runner was placed over it.   The sweetheart, sign in and cake tables were covered with the same sequened as the runner but in full linen.

Although we had never worked with some the vendors before, we have to say... every one of them was a complete joy to work with and we can’t wait to recommend them to future clients!

Next came the cake!  Jane Dough bought in a beautiful buttercream covered red velvet cake with what looked like a geoed peeking out from it.  The crystallized sugar breaking between the cake was amazing.

Next up came Freesia Designs.  They brought in high and low floral to set the tables and there was just enough bling that really caught the vision Nicole and Frank had for their big day.     The bride's bouquet was a beautiful, large bouquet with white, blush and white anemones. The bridesmaid's bouquets were simply white and blush with a little bit of green to complement the bride’s bouquet perfectly!

Nicole and Frank decided not to do a large cake and decided to do a small bridal cake to cut, a small but VERY cool grooms cake provided by Yolanda Rodriguez, and cheesecake bites from The Celia Jacobs Cheesecake Experience.   Each guest was provided a small cheesecake to eat!

Bianca Medina worked tirelessly in the bridal suite getting all the girl's hair and makeup done.  Every single one of them was stunning and we wanted Bianca to do our hair and makeup too...but of course, there was no time for that!

Carly Barton Photography and Alamo HD Videography joined the party and began the process of capturing the moments that were so important.  Carly and her second shooter, Hannah, jumped right in and kept the timeline on point! If they needed to make changes, we discussed and moved forward!   Brandon and Art from Alamo HD, were right in step with the girls and we all moved like a well-oiled machine who had worked together a lot.  (We LOVE it when that happens!)

The ceremony, although hot, went flawlessly!  Charlie Feliciano lead the ceremony and the georgous rings,  from Jared were exchanged.

Nicole was a stunning bride in her Stella York dress.  Celebrations Bridal and Prom in New Braunfels was the place where she said: “YES, to the dress!”.  The bridesmaid's dresses, a lovely color called Petal, were purchased from David's Bridal.  Frank and his guys were looking dapper in their Calvin Klein suits from Men's Warehouse

Cocktail Hour began the night and the drinks came pouring from the amazing staff of Western Sky Bartending!   The giant bar was packed with people and the bartenders kept everything up and running!   They were busy all night!

Dinner consisted of Pablano Chicken and Pork Tenderloin, veggies, potatoes, and rolls.  The staff of Got it Covered Catering did an excellent job of making sure everyone had enough to keep them going through all the dancing that was about to commence!

Derek and Henry with Lumen Events got the party started and kept the night moving!  They were both fantastic in keeping the dance floor full and really commanded the room!  They too were such a pleasure to work alongside and we can’t wait to do it again!!!

It really was a fantastic party!  Nicole and Frank, their parents and their guests were all so kind and wonderful to us!   We thank them for allowing us to be a part of their special day and we wish them all the best in their future endeavors.  We hope you enjoy the images as much as we do!

A Pink and Burgundy Wedding at Park 31 - Amanda and Ryan - Lasting Impressions by Design

As you turn onto Park Road 31 from Highway 46 you know that you are in the country.  Land...nothing else. The road winds around and about a half a mile in on the right you see what looks like any other ranch.  There is a house and some other buildings with a sign that says you’ve reached your destination. Park 31!

You wonder where this venue is that can hold a large party but you see nothing.   You turn onto the gravel road and you begin to make your way down the bumpy road. In a matter of seconds, you reach the parking area and looming just a few hundred yards away you see it!  A beautiful industrial building with stone. Windows loom into the sky as your eyes take in this beautiful building. The wood bridge beckons you to cross over a water feature and up the steps into this inviting building.   That is how I feel each time I arrive at this lovely venue! Here is where our lovely couple Amanda and Ryan decided they would get married!

We met Amanda back in October of 2018 and she knew exactly what she wanted and how she wanted it done!   She had most of the vendors already chosen and we were able to work with some amazing people!

We like to be the first ones at a venue so we can greet the vendors when they arrive, and help with anything that needs to be taken care of.   Of course, this isn’t always the case and most of the time Hair and Makeup arrive LONG before we do! So much time goes into their art and there is usually a slew of females getting their hair and makeup done starting before all the other vendors is pretty much a must!  Knot & Veil showed up early and turned the beautiful bride and her gorgeous bridesmaids into radiating beauties!

The next vendor arrival was Sue with SueBee Vintage Rentals and Floral!  We adore Sue!  She and her husband come in with buckets and buckets of flowers and she arranges the most amazing floral pieces that I have ever seen!  The spaces where she works wafts of the most wonderful smells! Just looking at her work is truly inspiring!

Cakes were next to arrive and Cakes by Cathy Young impressed with two beautiful cakes!  The bride's cake was a three-tier smooth white buttercream cake with a little embellishment.  The groom's cake was a chocolate two tier cake with chocolate dipped strawberries covering almost every inch!  Of course, we had a little bit of each and the flavor did not disappoint!

Photography was our next vendor and how excited were we when Monica Roberts with Monica Roberts Photography arrived!   Her lovely disposition and willingness to work alongside us is truly wonderful!  We love when the vendors we work with, become friends! All the amazing pictures you see here were taken by the talented Monica Roberts!

The ceremony music was provided by Terra Vista Strings.  Every time we work with these talented individuals, they always are so professional and really work to make the client happy.  The music, of course, is amazing and I know when they are on the list of vendors, I never have to worry about how the procession or recession is going to go.  Full trust!

Catering and Bartending were up next!  Wow! The Box Street Social crew were on point and had everything ready!   Like a well-oiled machine, they had things up, ready to go for cocktail hour and then in a blink of an eye, they were ready for the three dinner stations!   I wish I had taken a picture of Eddie making the Payaya! It was a sight to behold! The drinks were flowing and the guests were enjoying the evening.

The reception music was provided by Royal Dukes Band.  They played the entire night and once dinner was done and the party really got going, the band had a ton of people out on the dance floor!  At the end of the night, guests didn’t want to leave they were having so much fun with the music playing!

At the end of the night, Amanda and Ryan were greeted with a sparkler exit as they got into the limousine from Elegant Limousine and Charter.  Off into the night, they drove away and we wish them all the best life has to offer!

Classic Burgundy and Navy Wedding | Eagle Dancer Ranch | Kaleigh and Daniel

Have you ever met someone you had so much in common with, it was uncanny?  Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Chapa! Kaleigh and Daniel’s strong love and support started as friends and evolved into a love that will last a lifetime. Meeting while teaching at the same school, was only the beginning of their similarities and grew into something they could not forget.  Their rustic and romantic day was filled with family and friends and it was a perfectly intimate and celebratory of their love.

The bride and bridesmaids had so much fun as they prepared for the evening in a charming little house set off from the barn where the festivities would take place.  They were in wonderful hands with the always talented ladies from Lipsticks and Locks. The groom and groomsmen were ready to enjoy the party (and man did they like to party)! While everyone was busy preparing for the ceremony, the reception building was being transformed into a beautiful space for all the guests to enjoy, with thoughtful touches throughout the area and stunning floral pieces from HEB Blooms - Boerne.

Eagle Dancer Ranch was the perfect setting to house both their ceremony and reception. A short shuttle ride took guests down to a beautiful grassy spot, along the Guadalupe River on one side of the property. Under the shaded by trees and next to a beautiful rocky embankment an arbor prepared with floral was set for the nuptials.  It was the most beautiful spot for the ceremony and exactly where the happy couple wanted, but with the chance of rain, we made sure to have a backup plan in place. Cue the umbrellas!

There was so much emotion brought up during the ceremony as these two beautiful people came together!  Two of the cutest children brought smiles to everyone’s faces as the flower girl and ring bearer introduced the stunning bride.   Friendship and family were quite evident in this group and Kaleigh and Daniel were wed by a close friend. A tree planting ceremony (with dirt from Daniel’s childhood home and Kaileigh’s childhood home) was done to symbolize unity.  All of the beautiful accents included in the space just added to the overall feeling of love!

Once the ceremony was over, the guests were transported back up to the reception space, and the party was on!  Cocktails and delicious food awaited the guests in the beautiful outdoor space surrounding the barn, along with beautiful guitar music by John Eustrom.  Once they entered the reception, they were able to take in all of the stunning decor that Kaleigh designed herself!  From the photos to the centerpieces, everything worked together to create her vision, down to the smallest detail - showing that sometimes it’s just the little pieces that truly bring your dream to life.

Riverside Catering provided the most delicious spread.  They ensured all the guests were fed and happy.  Kaleigh and Daniel wanted to provide their guest with cupcakes and desserts, and Saweet Cupcakes did not disappoint!  The flavors of the day were – chocolate, vanilla, red velvet, and caramel pecan, and we’re not sure which was our favorite! Kaleigh and Daniel still wanted to have the traditional cake cutting so they also had a small tiered cake they could cut for their perfect intimate cake cutting!

Once the dancing started, there was no stopping!  Toast Entertainment, kept the night going with music that was the perfect mix of the couple’s style, with traditional line-dancing, country, and current top 50 music. They were having so much fun, there were times when they decided to “lift” the groom up!  When we say they know how to party, we mean it!

Monica Roberts Photography worked along our side to take some of the most romantic photos after the sun went down. She caught these images while the couple shared some alone time after the reception began. Aren’t they absolutely stunning?

For the most-stunning send-off, the new Mr. and Mrs. Chapa decided on bubbles.  They filled the air as the two walked away. The end photo does not disappoint! Kaleigh and Daniel, we were honored to be part of your wonderful day and we wish you a lifetime of joy and happiness!

An Unconventional, Intimate Handfasting Wedding | Los Patios | Rebekah and Lisa

Introducing Rebakah and Lisa!   These two fun loving people allowed us the honor of planning and assisting them in their June 23, 2018 wedding!  The vision as we began our searching for the perfect venue was greenery, outdoor, and whimsical. Rebekah is very much into the earth,  magical fairies and butterflies. Lisa wanted something near water! Finding a spot was not going to be an easy task. After several venues with a lot of trees a lightbulb went off and we took them to tour Los Patios.   Providing not only indoor and outdoor spaces for events, it is also right along Salado Creek.

Los Patios is a hidden gem in in the city that if you don’t know about it, well, you wouldn’t know it was there!  Right off of 410 and Starcrest, you can find this lovely complex with a restaurant, shopping and several other services.   Los Patios has been a part of San Antonio for over 50 years!  The ceremony site is right along the river and the Hacienda was able to accomodate the guests and then some!

Lasting Impressions by Design set up some custom made signs so the guests would know where to go and then began working on getting the ceremony and reception spaces set up.  Butterflies have huge meaning for the couple and so not only did we hang several butterflies from the ceremony gazebo, we also surprised the couple with napkins that had been folded into butterflies.

The girls arrived and were carted away from each other before their first looks.  Rebekah was able to be pampered with her makeup while Lisa sat in a cool room drinking beer and dressing in her camo vest with her wedding party.

The spaces, at Los Patios gave Ema with EmaReide Photography, not only numerous places to choose to have their first look but also great spaces to utilize the colors and elements to make the rings stand out.  We scouted the area with Ema and found the perfect spot for the excitement to commence!

As the evening commenced, guests began to show up.  Family and friends witnessed an intimate handfasting ceremony performed by Natashca Ravenheart and Archer Ravenson.

A short walk to the Hacienda building and dinner was served while Dominic with At Last Entertainment played music (Dominic even had a little helper at one point in the night)! The buffet included Spinach and Cheese Stuffed Chicken Breast, roasted potatoes, vegetables and rolls. It was delicious!  Drinks were flowing and everyone was having fun! Lasting Impressions by Design provided greenery, a lantern and a lovely little fairy met guests at their tables.

The backdrop for the selfie photo booth was created by Lasting Impressions by Design according to the clients wishes.   Everyone had a great time taking selfies and having other guests take photos for them. It was a great way to get people who didn’t know each other to interact and become friends!

Rebekah’s niece had a birthday and she actually ordered an over sized cupcake to celebrate with her niece!  We all sang Happy Birthday to the newly 13 year old! Thanks to Cakes Rock SA, Shanna Miller the happiness in the room grew!  Shanna not only delivered an amazing over sized cupcake and small desserts but an amazing three tiered cake that fit not only with the theme but showed the couples lives together and their interests.

Dancing continued through the night with At Last Entertainment at the helm until it was time for the bubble send off!  It was an amazing evening and we were so excited to be part of creating this day for Lisa and Rebekah! We wish them all the happiness in the future!

A Touch of Boho | Fall Elopement Styled Shoot

The wind was blowing as we came upon the beauty that is The Villa at Cielo Vista!  It wasn’t a cold wind but it was a wind and it made for a fun time in keeping things down in place!  Who knew what we would be ultimately blown away by would be with the images from EmaReide Photography that came from this amazing shoot!  The idea behind the design was to incorporate some beautiful rich colors in a classic, yet whimsical way.  Perfect for a small wedding or elopement celebration!

It was quiet and the view from the grounds was breathtaking, but we weren’t able to enjoy it long!  Affinity Floral arrived with the beautiful flowers and we hit the ground running!  Talk about stunning!

Shortly after Stephanie, from Vanity Eliand, showed up with all her make-up and hair supplies to begin the process of making these already beautiful ladies even more beautiful! The fun had started...we had no idea how much fun the night would bring us!

Then gentlemen came in...funny, nice, and good looking!   Since all the models were actual friends, the feeling was relaxed and one of great energy!   A huge speaker with access to an iphone started pumping jams and we all started getting into the groove.

Shanna’s Creative Cakes arrived on scene with the cake and the sun started to set!   The colors on the cake were organic and amazing!  Perfect to fit with the overall feel of the evening. Once the floral elements were added, it truly stood out as a stunning detail of the event.

We began placing the gorgeous details from Marquee Rentals and Cru Vintage Rentals around the venue and on the table to set the scene.  Did we say it was windy?  It’s always a great time when we have to rethink how to set to keep items on the tables.

CalliRosa Calligraphy joined us for the shoot with her beautiful stationery.  The colors touched on the table design perfectly!  Her design of the invitations, place cards, and menus were the most amazing addition to the details of the photoshoot.

EmaReide Photography began shooting all of the stunning details and the venue!  Then it was time for the the ceremony!  The models were cracking jokes, enjoying themselves and having a great time enjoying the company of each other!  We were smiling from ear to ear as the sun continue to set!  You could feel the love as the models were moved into different settings and the fun as they enjoyed the evening!

We absolutely love how all of the details of the evening came together to showcase a beautifully elegant combination of details!

Rustic Blush and Light Blue Wedding | Carol & Coby

It was a hot, humid day in July when these two amazing people, Carol and Coby, chose to have their vow renewal ceremony!  They were one of many couples who chose to get married at the courthouse but now wanted to share their love for each other with a ceremony and celebration among family and friends.

Two years of love and marriage between these two has included many ups and down, as well as a serious illness, but they have continued on with their joy and happiness.  The joy that oozes from these two spreads like wildfire to everyone they meet...including us!

We arrived to Ms. Betty’s quaint ranch in the middle of Bulverde.  You know...the kind of ranch that doesn’t even have an address!  Thank goodness for coordinates and GPS!  Coby and his son were out placing signs and lights for that evening’s events.  The hay bales were set facing the most beautiful old tree.  Talk about the most perfect setting!

The trees were sprawling and the cows were mooing at us as we worked to set up the tables and create an aisle for the ceremony.  Speaking of the cows, someone left a gate open the night before and we lost three hay bales due to hungry cows!  Luckily there were still plenty of places for their loved ones to sit!

After all of the main set-up was complete and everyone was ready for the ceremony, the photographer put Coby and Carol in place for the first looks, in front of the most beautiful old barn.  We think that one of us may have shed some tears when he turned around and saw her for the first time, but if you ask us...we will deny, deny, deny!

The day progressed and family and friends began showing up.  Love again tangled it’s fingers through everyone there.  Everyone was laughing and having a wonderful time.  The happy couple said their “I Do’s” and the party began!

BBQ, drinks, family and friends!  The amazing Dominic, with At Last Entertainment, did his magic and the dancing commenced!  Did we mention to you that it was hot???  The heat didn’t matter!  Love and laughter was in the air and it all landed on the lovely couple, Coby and Carol!  Even the flower girl joined in the celebration and serenaded the group with some of her favorite tunes.

We want to thank Carol and Coby for allowing us to be part of this joyous event!  We feel as though everyone brought us into the fold as family and friends!   We want to wish them many days of happiness and love, but don’t forget to close the gate!!

A Night of Laughs | Fundraiser Comedy Night for the Andy Mireles Charitable Foundation

Lasting Impressions by Design had the honor of planning and coordinating a wonderful fundraising event for the Andy Mireles Charitable Foundation.  "A Night of Laughs," featuring Cleto Rodriguez, was a huge success, with over 200 people in attendance.  The evening began with the fantastic music of Joe Posada and his trio, as they played their way through the cocktail hour with some amazing hits, while guests found delicious refreshments and looked over the raffle items.  You could hear the excitement in the room as guests mingled and anxiously awaited the laughs to begin.  The sponsors for the evening even had the opportunity to pose for a photo op with Cleto himself.

Once the main event began, guests couldn't help but laugh at the hilarious offerings of Jessica Ramirez, who told of the joys of motherhood and how we all just need a "Mom-cation" to HEB sometimes!  Her relatability to real life and the numerous stories she told of living life had the crowd laughing out loud.

Jessica set the stage for Cleto, and the laughs continued to roll.  Guests were treated to more real life stories and wonderful visuals of the many stories he shared.  Hilarious doesn't even begin to cover it!  After all the laughs, some wonderful raffle items were won and guests made their way home.  The entire evening was such a huge success and we are grateful that we were able to plan and coordinate this event for the foundation!  We are looking forward to many more events in the future with the Andy Mireles Charitable Foundation!
